Agitation is by Transkem type: TK GPM VGT geared motor, with Helicon gearbox, size MFD122 with a ratio of 11.72/1, driven by a 0.55kw, BCP, originally flameproof motor, Baseefa EExd group IIB T4, framesize AE90SD, speed 1400 rpm. Gearbox gives an output speed of 124 rpm, coupled to a 1 1/2" dia. shaft fitted with 4 off - putched paddles of 2'-2" dia. from 4" flat bar. Shaft has a seal to atmosphere.
