From the North (M6)

• Leave at junction 31
• TAKE A59 TO CLITHEROE & PRESTON down to roundabout.
• For some reason blackburn is not mentioned as an option prior to this.!
• Take BLACKBURN OPTION OFF THE MOTORWAY ROUNDABOUT.
• After a mile or so you should pass SWALLOW HOTEL (on your left) CARRY STRAIGHT ON, ONTO A677. (You should pass British Aerospace on left hand side).
• After a few miles TURN LEFT ONTO DUAL CARRIAGE WAY (RING ROAD) A6119, (Also Burnley & M65 Signs) BEWARE SPEED CAMERAS (50 MPH)
• CONTINUE through a few lights TILL YOU REACH NEW ROUNDABOUT/ TRAFFIC LIGHT JUNCTION
• YOU ARE TURNING RIGHT (in stages) TOWARDS BLACKBURN TOWN CENTRE A666, ALSO SIGN POSTED DARWEN & BOLTON.
• WE ARE APPROX 1 MILE DOWN THIS ROAD ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE JUST PAST CAR SALES AND OPPOSITE 319 WHALLEY NEW ROAD (WHICH IS IN FACT THE A666)

From the South (M6)

• Leave at Junction 29 leads to M65
• M65 - EXIT AT JCT 6 ( says to A678 )
• BUT on leaving roundabout....
• Follow signs to....
• CLITHEROE / PRESTON (A6119) Dual Carriageway
• Straight ahead through 6 sets of traffic lights. (All quite close together)
• ( SPEED CAMERA AFTER 5th SET 50 mph)
• AT THE BOTTOM OF THE HILL
• (ROUNDABOUT/ 7 th set of TRAFFIC LIGHTS)....
• TURN LEFT ONTO (A 666 ) towards....
• TOWN CENTRE / DARWEN / BOLTON
• We are approximately 1 MILE down the road on the
• LEFT-HAND-SIDE just past The Car Sales and with Roe Lee Surgery (on the right).
• Also opposite 319 WHALLEY NEW ROAD (A666)

From the East / West (M62)

• LEAVE M62 AFTER BIRCH SERVICES FOR M66.
• FOLLOW SIGNS FOR M65.
• LEAVE M65 AT JUNCTION 6.
• (Says A678 & Blackburn North only at this point)
• At the Large Roundabout Take the 3rd LEFT:
• FOLLOW SIGNS For CLITHEROE /PRESTON A6119 (A666) which takes you onto a DUAL CARRIAGE WAY and go through 6 sets of Traffic Lights all close together ( 50 MPH SPEED CAMERA as you go down the hill)
• AT THE BOTTOM OF THE HILL ( 7th set of TRAFFIC LIGHTS / ROUNDABOUT) TAKE THE FIRST LEFT, A666 SIGN POSTED TOWN CENTRE, DARWEN & BOLTON.
• WE ARE SITUATED APPROX. 1 MILE DOWN THE ROAD ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE JUST PAST CAR SALES and (opposite 319 Whalley New Road)
• You can access M65 from M6 easily also.
• (as this is a recent change you would need an up to date road atlas)
